What this workflow does

This automated workflow starts with a simple form trigger that accepts any YouTube URL format (watch links, youtu.be, embed URLs, or raw video IDs). The system intelligently extracts the video ID and connects to YouTube Data API v3 to gather comprehensive video information including stats, titles, descriptions, and tags.

The workflow then fetches and analyzes top comments, selecting the best 10 by combining newest comments with highest-engagement ones. Two parallel GPT-4 agents work simultaneously: one creates natural, human-sounding replies to each selected comment as a fellow viewer (not the channel owner), while the second generates an original top-level comment based on the video's title and description.

All generated content is automatically merged and saved to Google Sheets with detailed metadata including engagement scores, view counts, and video information—ready for review or scheduling.

Technical details

Built with essential n8n nodes including form trigger, HTTP request, code, set, merge, and sticky note components. Requires three OAuth2 integrations: YouTube Data API v3 for video data extraction, OpenAI for GPT-4 content generation (defaults to gpt-4.1-mini with model flexibility), and Google Sheets for organized data storage.
