This n8n workflow finds due newsletters in your AIS Newsletter Manager, pulls fresh articles from multiple news sources, generates an OpenAI-written intro and per-article summaries (plus a feature image), then emails a branded HTML issue to your recipients via SMTP—and marks it as sent back in WordPress.

What this workflow does

• Runs hourly to check your WordPress schedule by calling the AIS Newsletter Manager /due endpoint.
• For each due newsletter, it fetches recent content from: Reddit RSS, Google News RSS, Yahoo Sports RSS, NCAA.com RSS, and BBC Sport RSS, normalizing all items into a consistent article format.
• Filters and randomly selects a configured number of articles from the last 10 days while maintaining source representation.
• Uses an OpenAI chat model to produce a strict JSON output containing an intro and summaries for each selected article.
• Generates a feature image using OpenAI image generation based on the first article, then uploads it to WordPress via the plugin’s media endpoint.
• Builds a branded HTML newsletter using WordPress newsletter settings (colors, title, logo, unsubscribe link) and pulls the active recipients list from WordPress.
• Sends the issue using SMTP in BCC batches, then posts to AIS Newsletter Manager /sent to mark the newsletter as delivered.
