Track new job openings automatically with Airtable + Gaffa (n8n)

This n8n workflow runs every Monday to scrape current open roles from each company’s careers page using Gaffa, then automatically updates your Airtable Jobs and Companies records—adding newly found roles, marking missing roles as closed, and logging errors when a careers page can’t be read.

What this workflow does

• Scheduled monitoring: The workflow runs every Monday morning on a schedule.
• Pulls company targets from Airtable: It reads open job records and a list of companies from an Airtable Companies table, using only those with a non-empty careers page URL.
• Scrapes roles with Gaffa: For each company, it loads the careers page and parses open roles (including title, team, location, and link).
• Compares against Airtable: It determines which roles are new versus which have likely closed based on what’s currently listed on the page.
• Updates Airtable data:
  • Creates new job records in the Airtable Jobs table for newly found roles.
  • Updates existing job records to set a “Closed on” date when roles disappear and the results look complete enough.
  • Updates each company record with open/new role counts and a status message, or logs an error status if the careers page can’t be read.
