This n8n workflow pulls official US new business filings from Apify and updates your Google Sheets with deduplicated leads—starting with a free fictional-data demo so you can verify the exact output before connecting real accounts.

What this workflow does

• Run a built-in demo first: when imported, the workflow is inactive and in demo mode, with both external-service nodes disabled. It generates fictional raw records and makes no external requests.
• Validate configuration: reads settings in the Set Fields node and validates allowed states, real calendar dates, territory filters (including Connecticut-only filtering), result limits, and the maximum Actor charge before choosing the live data path.
• Fetch live data (optional): in live mode, it runs the existing US New Business Leads Feed on Apify with a maximum of 100 records and US$0.30 per run. Demo mode instead supplies synthetic records through the same transformation.
• Transform and deduplicate: flattens source records into 18 columns, retains source attribution, guards formula-like text, validates each leadId against its state and registry ID, and deduplicates the batch.
• Append or update in Sheets: in live mode, it sequentially appends or updates Google Sheets rows using leadId with explicit column mappings and RAW values. In demo mode, it outputs rows for inspection without writing to a Sheet.
