Apify Whisper Podcast RSS → Google Docs Transcripts (n8n)

Automatically turn podcast RSS episodes into Google Docs transcripts—every day.

This n8n workflow reads a podcast RSS feed daily, transcribes new episode audio using Apify’s Whisper-based transcriber, and saves each transcript as a dedicated Google Doc in your chosen Google Drive folder.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a daily schedule to keep transcripts up to date.
• Reads your configured podcast RSS feed and limits processing to the newest episodes based on your set limit.
• Prevents duplicate transcription by skipping episodes already processed in previous runs using the episode GUID or enclosure URL.
• Starts transcription with Apify by sending each new episode’s audio URL, then polls Apify until the transcription run finishes.
• Downloads the transcript from the Apify dataset and keeps only successful transcription results.
• Creates one Google Doc per episode in your target folder and inserts: the source URL, language, billed minutes, and the full transcript text.

Technical details

• Apify integration: use an Apify API token via an HTTP Header Auth credential (Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN) and select it on the Apify HTTP Request steps.

• Configurable settings: podcast RSS feed URL, number of recent episodes to check, Whisper model, and Google Drive folder ID.
