Turn an RFP PDF into a structured, ready-to-send response package—automatically. This n8n workflow receives your RFP, extracts supplier-directed questions with OpenAI, answers each one using an OpenAI Assistant, compiles everything into a Google Doc, and sends updates to the requester via Gmail and your team via Slack.

What this workflow does

• Accepts an HTTP POST webhook containing the RFP PDF, a document title, and a reply_to email address.
• Extracts text from the uploaded PDF and prepares the response document title, filename, and recipient email.
• Creates a new Google Docs file in a specified Google Drive folder, including a metadata header block (title, timestamp, requester, and an execution link).
• Uses OpenAI to extract supplier questions from the RFP text and parses them into a structured list.
• Generates answers question-by-question by sending each extracted question to a predefined OpenAI Assistant.
• Appends the numbered Q&A to the Google Doc until all questions are answered.
• Notifies stakeholders: emails the requester via Gmail and posts a completion message to Slack when the document is finished.
