Turn daily weather forecasts into actionable store alerts—automatically. This n8n workflow pulls multi-day forecasts from Open-Meteo, uses Anthropic Claude to draft staff prep notes and customer-ready messaging for flagged locations, and posts a checked summary to Slack.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily at 15:00 (or manually) and loads configurable thresholds such as forecast days, rain/heat/cold limits, language, and message length.
• Reads store locations from Google Sheets by pulling required fields (store name, latitude, longitude, notes, contact) from the “Stores” tab—then stops with an error if required fields are missing or invalid.
• Fetches forecasts per store from the Open-Meteo API for the configured number of days.
• Flags risk days (rain, heavy rain, heat, or cold) based on your thresholds, and converts flagged forecast values into numbered “facts” per store.
• Drafts communications with Claude: sends the fact IDs to Anthropic Claude to generate (1) a short staff prep memo and (2) a customer-ready draft message, both referencing the same fact IDs.
• Validates outputs to ensure Claude returns valid JSON, references at least one fact, contains only forecast numbers, and keeps the customer message within limits and avoiding banned words.
• Posts to Slack once per flagged store, including forecast facts plus validated prep and customer drafts (or warnings if checks fail).
