Claude Multi-Agent Routing Workflow: Webhook + WhatsApp Summary (n8n)

Turn one request into a multi-step Claude “team” — with webhook delivery and a WhatsApp summary

This n8n workflow accepts a task via Webhook (POST) (or a manual run), uses Anthropic Claude as a multi-agent supervisor to route work across specialist agents (researcher, coder, analyst, writer, reviewer), iterates until completion, then returns the final result and sends a WhatsApp summary.

What this workflow does

• Receives and validates input: A POST request hits an n8n webhook, and the workflow normalizes the payload into a task state with a step counter and work history. If the task is empty, it immediately returns a 400 webhook response.
• Supervises routing with Claude: The workflow builds a supervisor prompt and calls the Anthropic Messages API (Claude) to decide the next specialist route and instruction.
• Calls exactly one specialist per step: It routes to a single Claude call—researcher, coder, analyst, writer, or reviewer—to generate output based on the supervisor’s instruction.
• Iterates until FINISH (with guardrails): Results are appended to a shared work log, the step counter increments, and routing repeats until Claude signals FINISH or a guardrail ends the run (including loop detection and error fallback).
• Synthesizes and responds: After completion, the accumulated specialist work is sent to Claude for final synthesis. The workflow returns the final answer and routing trace in the webhook response, and sends a truncated summary via WhatsApp.
