Instant Bitcoin indicator alerts in Google Sheets + Gmail (with HMAC security)

This n8n workflow receives signed Bitcoin coinsentry webhook alerts, verifies the HMAC-SHA256 signature, then logs crossing events to Google Sheets and sends an email notification via Gmail.

What this workflow does

• Receives webhook events via a POST endpoint from coinsentry, including the event payload.
• Verifies request authenticity by recomputing the HMAC-SHA256 signature from the raw request body and comparing it to the x-coinsentry-signature header. Requests that don’t match are dropped.
• Filters for relevant events, processing only events of type indicator_alert.
• Extracts and formats alert details such as day, indicator name, direction, threshold, current value, previous value, and BTC close; then prepares an email subject.
• Appends a new row to a specified worksheet in Google Sheets, storing: day, indicator, direction, threshold, value, previous_value, btc_close.
• Sends a Gmail notification to your configured recipient with the crossing details.

Setup (high level)

Create a coinsentry indicator webhook channel with a signing secret, configure matching n8n Crypto credentials, connect Google Sheets (ensure the required columns exist), and connect Gmail with your recipient address.
