Turn Google Drive videos into live Facebook video ads—automatically
This n8n workflow scans a specified folder in Google Drive, uploads each video to Facebook Ads via the Facebook Graph API, and then automatically creates and activates the ad creative, ad set, and live ad. Run it on a schedule every 6 hours or start it manually—so your video campaigns stay fast, consistent, and hands-free.
What this workflow does
- Runs on schedule (every 6 hours) or manually using a manual trigger.
- Lists video files from a configured Google Drive folder ID.
- Processes videos one at a time to avoid parallel uploads.
- Uploads each video to Facebook Ads using the Facebook Graph API.
- Waits 30 seconds after upload so Facebook can finish encoding.
- Creates a Facebook ad creative for the uploaded video.
- Creates an ad set with your configured budget and targeting settings.
- Creates and activates a live Facebook ad using the new ad set and creative.
Use cases
- Publish new product or UGC video ads whenever your team drops files into a Google Drive folder.
- Maintain a consistent Facebook Ads pipeline for a SaaS operator who needs repeatable, scheduled campaign creation.
- Automation engineers building systems that connect media libraries (Google Drive) to performance marketing (Facebook Ads).
Technical details
- Google Drive OAuth2: configure access and the Drive folder ID containing videos.
- Facebook Graph API: use an access token with ads_management permissions as an HTTP Header Auth credential.
- Update placeholders for your Facebook Ad Account ID (act_…), Facebook Page ID, and an existing Campaign ID.
- Adjust ad set settings (daily budget in cents, countries, age range, placements) and choose whether ads start as ACTIVE or PAUSED.
