Create & Update Yandex Calendar Events via Secure Webhook (CalDAV)
Send a webhook request with your event details—and this n8n workflow instantly creates or updates a corresponding Yandex Calendar event by generating an iCalendar (.ics) file and pushing it to Yandex using CalDAV over authenticated HTTP PUT.
What this workflow does
- Receives a POST webhook request containing event fields such as title, start, end, all-day, and an optional description (plus an optional calendarPath).
- Configures the CalDAV base URL and selects the target calendar path for Yandex.
- Generates or reuses a stable event UID so repeated requests update the same event (supporting deterministic updates if you provide a UID).
- Builds an iCalendar (.ics) event payload including UID and description.
- Uploads to Yandex Calendar via CalDAV using an authenticated HTTP PUT request with HTTP Basic Authentication (Yandex app password required).
- Responds with JSON summarizing the result: UID, event fields, HTTP status code, and whether the event was created (201) or updated (204).
Use cases
- Automate booking confirmations from your SaaS backend into Yandex Calendar.
- Update scheduled events when a user changes meeting time, title, or notes—using the same UID.
- Sync internal systems to Yandex without manual calendar editing.
