Get a daily Russian AI news digest from Hacker News—automatically delivered to Telegram
This n8n workflow pulls the latest AI-related stories from Hacker News, scrapes each article into Markdown text, summarizes them in Russian with OpenRouter (using GPT-5 with GPT-4 fallback), and posts a clean Telegram digest every day.
What this workflow does
- Runs daily using an n8n Schedule Trigger.
- Queries the Hacker News Algolia API for recent AI-related stories, then filters to the last 24 hours.
- Limits the digest to three articles to keep updates short and actionable.
- If no valid articles are found, it sends a “no news today” message to your Telegram chat.
- For each story, it fetches the linked page HTML, preserves the original title and URL, and converts the content into Markdown while skipping blocked/failed scrapes.
- Aggregates successfully scraped articles into a JSON array and sends it to OpenRouter to produce Russian headings and two-sentence summaries with a structured JSON response.
- Formats the output as Telegram Markdown (bold headings + source links) and posts the digest to the configured chat.
Use cases
- SaaS operators who want a daily AI landscape briefing without manually browsing Hacker News.
- Automation engineers building a Hacker News → Telegram content pipeline with AI summarization.
- Teams that need Russian summaries for internal sharing and faster reading.
