This Daily AI News LinkedIn Post Automation workflow pulls AI news every night, summarizes and selects the best story with OpenAI, drafts a LinkedIn post with a generated image, and emails it to you for approval before publishing—then logs results to Google Sheets.

What this workflow does

• Runs nightly at 8 PM using a schedule trigger.
• Fetches last day’s AI-related articles from NewsAPI, splits results into items, and keeps the top five most recent.
• Uses OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini) to produce a strict two-sentence summary for each article, then compiles a digest of those summaries.
• Uses OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini) again to choose the single best article for LinkedIn engagement from the digest and generates a post draft based on that selected story.
• Generates a news-style square image with OpenAI image generation (gpt-image-1-mini).
• Email approval flow via Gmail: sends a preview to you, then sends an approval email that waits for your Approve/Reject response in Gmail.
• If approved: publishes the post to LinkedIn, appends the approved content to a Google Sheets tab, and emails a success notification.
• If rejected: appends the rejected content to a separate Google Sheets tab and emails a rejection notification.
