This n8n workflow, “Daily Gmail Triage Digest to Notion with OpenAI,” pulls your last 24 hours of Gmail, uses OpenAI to triage and identify content candidates, writes a daily digest into Notion, and automatically applies Gmail labels for follow-up and reading.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily at 07:00 (UTC) and fetches up to 100 Gmail messages from the last 24 hours.
• Excludes noise: skips emails already labeled Content/Processed or Ignore/Auto, and filters obvious no-reply senders and common transactional subjects.
• Normalizes each email (sender, subject, date, snippet, and cleaned plain-text body) for reliable analysis.
• AI triage with OpenAI: assigns priority, type, rationale, suggested action, and whether it’s a content candidate.
• Content candidate handling: extracts a primary article URL (when present), fetches the page via HTTP, cleans HTML into readable article text, and detects basic paywall signals.
• Scores content candidates into pillars, funnel stage, and topics. Items scoring < 40 are routed to skip; items scoring ≥ 40 proceed.
• Prevents duplicates in Notion by checking a Notion database using URL/title, then creates a new Notion inbox entry only for non-duplicates.
• Generates a formatted Notion digest of all triaged items and applies Gmail labels: FollowUp/ToDo, Content/Processed, Ignore/Auto, and ReadLater.
