Get a daily Google Calendar meeting brief—automatically—powered by Gemini + Gmail
This n8n automation sends you a morning email with concise prep notes for today’s Google Calendar meetings. It pulls your events, asks Google Gemini to generate a short one-minute brief for each meeting, then compiles everything into a single daily summary and delivers it via Gmail.
What this workflow does
- Runs every morning using a schedule trigger.
- Fetches today’s Google Calendar events, ordered by start time.
- Extracts key meeting details for each event: title, start time, description, attendee list, and the event link.
- Sends those details to Google Gemini (PaLM) to generate a one-minute prep note per meeting, including:
- purpose
- talking points/questions
- one thing to prepare
- Combines all prep notes into a single daily brief.
- If there are no meetings today, it creates a “no meetings today” message instead.
- Emails the daily brief to your chosen recipient using Gmail.
Use cases
- SaaS operators and managers who need a quick “what to cover” reminder before back-to-back meetings.
- Automation engineers who want a reliable daily Google Calendar → Gemini → Gmail briefing workflow.
- Teams coordinating across calendars and attendees who prefer short, actionable prep prompts.
Technical details
- Integrations / nodes: schedule trigger, Google Calendar, Google Gemini (PaLM) via the n8n LLM flow, code, sticky note, and Gmail.
- Setup: connect Google Calendar OAuth2 (choose calendar + align time window behavior), add a Google Gemini API credential for the Gemini chat model, connect Gmail OAuth2, and set the morning send hour.
