Get a daily Google Trends email digest—built with Apify + n8n
Track what’s rising in Google Trends for your keywords and get a clean HTML summary in your inbox every day at 08:00—automatically. This “Daily Google Trends Digest in Gmail via Apify & n8n” workflow pulls interest-over-time, highlights rising related queries, and delivers top trending searches (with news links when available).
What this workflow does
- Schedules a daily run at 08:00 based on your workflow time zone.
- Loads your settings including keywords, country, time range, a trending country, and the recipient email address (“Your settings”).
-
Calls the Apify Google Trends API to fetch:
- Interest-over-time summaries for your keyword(s)
- Rising related queries
- Current trending searches
- Generates an HTML email summarizing keyword direction and percent change, filtering noisy rising queries to keep results readable.
- Sends the digest via Gmail to your configured recipient.
Use cases
- Content and SEO planning: identify what’s trending for specific topics and refine your next posts.
- SaaS market monitoring: track competitors, features, or category terms by country and time range.
- Product and growth teams: spot rising interest signals and adjust messaging based on direction/percent change.
Technical details
- n8n nodes: Schedule Trigger, Set, Code, HTTP Request, Gmail.
- Apify integration: uses an Apify API token with HTTP Bearer Auth to call the Apify Google Trends API Actor.
- Email output: HTML digest sent through the Gmail node.
Requirements: an Apify account (the free plan’s monthly credits cover a daily digest of a few keywords) and a Gmail account (or another messaging node, if you adapt it). To track multiple terms, configure up to 5 keywords on the same scale by placing them on one line, separated by commas.
