The Daily n8n Health Digest: n8n API + Gmail Alerts workflow audits your n8n every day, finds execution errors, missed schedules, broken error handling, and invalid sub-workflow references—then emails an HTML health digest via Gmail only when action is needed.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily at 06:30 (or on manual trigger): Loads configuration such as alert email, tag scope, timezone, and the lookback window.
• Audits active workflows via the n8n API: Fetches all active published workflows and optionally limits monitoring to workflows matching your configured tags.
• Summarizes recent execution errors: Pulls errored executions within the lookback window and groups them per in-scope workflow.
• Detects missed schedule triggers: For scheduled workflows, calculates when they should have fired (in each workflow’s timezone) and flags schedules that didn’t run as expected.
• Checks error-handling configuration: Flags missing or invalid paths such as no error workflow / missing Error Trigger, self-referential error workflows, and unpublished/blocked error workflows.
• Finds broken sub-workflow calls: Scans Execute Workflow calls to identify references to unpublished or disallowed sub-workflows.
• Sends alerts only when needed: Builds an HTML digest with links back to the n8n editor and emails it through Gmail when problems exist. Optionally sends a weekly all-clear heartbeat.
