The Daily Unanswered Leads Digest (Gmail + OpenAI) n8n workflow scans your Gmail every weekday morning, identifies threads where someone emailed you but you haven’t replied (or started a draft), and then uses OpenAI to prioritize and summarize the most important leads. You receive a single, ranked digest in the form of a Gmail draft or email.

What this workflow does

• Runs daily every weekday at 8 AM (or can be triggered manually) to process your inbox.
• Loads your configuration (your email details, business description, lookback window, and delivery mode).
• Finds unanswered threads by comparing incoming threads against your Sent and Drafts so only threads where the newest message is from someone else are kept.
• Filters out noise by skipping newsletters, no-reply/automated senders, and very recent emails.
• Reduces risk before AI processing by flagging potentially risky or prompt-injection content (e.g., wire transfer keywords) to keep it out of OpenAI.
• Uses OpenAI structured output to classify email type, rate urgency, and generate a short summary plus next-step suggestion.
• Builds your ranked digest with Gmail thread links, plus a separate “read these yourself” list for flagged/unclear items—then emails it to you or saves it as a Gmail draft (optionally even if empty).
