This n8n workflow monitors the P2PQuake earthquake API, matches impacted prefectures against employees in Google Sheets, and sends targeted safety check messages via the LINE Messaging API—while logging registrations and responses back to Sheets.

What this workflow does

• Polls P2PQuake every 30 minutes and requests the latest earthquake data filtered to seismic intensity 4+.
• Prevents duplicate alerts by reading the last processed earthquake ID from a Google Sheets control sheet and comparing it to the newest event.
• Finds affected employees: loads the employee directory from Google Sheets and checks whether each employee’s home or work prefecture matches any impacted prefecture in the earthquake points.
• Sends LINE push messages to each affected employee’s stored LINE user ID with a safety check.
• Updates tracking in Google Sheets (latest earthquake ID and last-checked timestamp).
• Handles LINE replies via webhook: incoming LINE webhook events are processed to interpret replies of 1, 2, or 3 as employee safety status updates (Safe, Needs Help, or Other) and records response time in Google Sheets.
• Registers new employees automatically if the message doesn’t match the expected reply options—appending a new employee record to the sheet.
