This n8n workflow launches an incident safety roll-call from a form, sends staff Gmail check-ins with an embedded response form, compiles who’s safe and available (or needs help), drafts a leadership report with Google Gemini, posts it to Slack, escalates missing responders, and logs everything to Google Sheets.

What this workflow does

• Receives roll-call details from an n8n form (incident information, target site or all sites, wait time, and sender name).
• Loads the staff roster from Google Sheets and filters it to the selected site(s). If no matching staff are found, the workflow stops with an error.
• Sends Gmail messages to each selected person with an embedded response form (status buttons plus optional location and notes), then waits for replies until the configured time window closes.
• Classifies responses into actionable categories: safe & available, safe but unavailable, needs help, or unaccounted for—then builds counts and formatted lists for reporting and escalation.
• Generates a leadership situation report using Google Gemini with a structured schema, and posts the report to a Slack channel.
• Escalates non-responders: if anyone remains unaccounted for, it emails the relevant managers via Gmail with the missing staff list and follow-up instructions using direct methods.
• Logs the full roll-call to the Google Sheets “Roll Call Log” sheet (incident, timestamp, person, and response details).
