EmpirioLabs AI weekly research, automatically delivered to Slack—without repeating sources
This n8n workflow runs every Monday to research configured topics with EmpirioLabs AI, converts the results into sourced findings, posts a polished weekly brief to Slack, and tracks previously shared links in an n8n Data Table so you don’t get duplicate references.
What this workflow does
- Schedules a weekly run every Monday at 8:00 using a schedule trigger.
- Loads brief settings, ensures an n8n Data Table exists, and fetches all source URLs posted in earlier briefs.
- Researches each topic by splitting your topic list into one item per topic and asking EmpirioLabs AI to find recent developments.
- Structures sourced findings by converting each research answer into a JSON list (headline, short summary, and source URL).
- Validates and deduplicates: only keeps URLs that appear in the research answer, removes any links already posted in previous weeks, and tags topics as having new findings, repeats, no sourced findings, or failed research.
- Generates a Slack-ready brief grouped by topic, including an “In short” summary created with EmpirioLabs AI when there are new links.
- Posts to Slack and saves every newly posted source URL into the n8n Data Table for future runs.
Use cases
- SaaS teams that want a consistent weekly AI/industry update in Slack with tracked sources
- Automation engineers maintaining information-digest workflows that avoid duplicate citations
- Operators researching product, competitor, or market changes and sharing them with a clear “In short” summary
