This n8n workflow converts invoice data (JSON) into standards-compliant e-invoices using Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 UBL mapping and creates the final document as XRechnung, Factur-X (PDF/A-3), or EN 16931—generated via the PDF Generator API and returned as a ready-to-store binary file (base64 decoded).

What this workflow does

• Triggers either manually (with a sample invoice) or via a webhook POST that receives your invoice JSON.
• Loads template & default settings, then merges them with the incoming invoice data.
• Maps your invoice into a Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 UBL payload, calculating line totals, VAT subtotals, and monetary totals.
• Routes by target format and calls the corresponding PDF Generator API e-invoice endpoint to generate the document for:
  • Factur-X
  • XRechnung
  • EN 16931
• Reads the API response metadata to derive the correct filename and MIME type.
• Converts base64 to binary so you can store it or forward it downstream (e.g., to email, cloud storage, or an ERP system).
