ERP to CRM Master Data Sync via Webhook (n8n)

Instantly sync customer or vendor master-data changes from your source system into both your ERP and CRM using a single n8n HTTP POST webhook. This workflow normalizes, deduplicates into a “golden record,” resolves conflicts with a defined policy, pushes to ERP/CRM, verifies the result, and returns an audit-style JSON report.

What this workflow does

• Receives master-data updates via POST /master-data-sync on an n8n Webhook. The payload contains customer or vendor master-data changes.
• Validates required fields and normalizes the incoming data into a canonical master-data model.
• Matches and assigns a golden record by comparing to a simulated golden record using tax ID, external ID, email, or a new-record fallback to generate a golden ID.
• Detects field-level conflicts between the incoming data and the matched golden record, then resolves them using a “prefer incoming” policy.
• Sends the resolved record to your ERP and CRM endpoints using HTTP POST requests and records each response status.
• Verifies the sync by calling a verification endpoint, then compiles match details, conflicts, sync results, and verification status.
• Returns a JSON response to the webhook caller with an overall status and full synchronization report.

Technical details

• n8n nodes: Webhook, Code, Wait, Sticky Note, HTTP Request, Respond to Webhook.
• HTTP integration: posts resolved master records to ERP and CRM endpoints, using configurable URLs (demo currently uses httpbin.org).
• Verification: calls a verification endpoint and includes its result in the returned report.

Setup: Activate the workflow, copy the webhook URL for the POST /master-data-sync endpoint, replace the demo HTTP endpoints with your real ERP/CRM/verification API URLs, and provide any required authentication settings in the HTTP Request nodes.
