Export your QuickBooks Online accounting package as a single ZIP

This n8n workflow exports a selected date range from QuickBooks Online into one downloadable ZIP—including bank ledger data, bank transactions, invoices with PDFs, client payments, expenses, and any linked downloadable attachments. It’s built to make it easy to share a complete accounting export with your accountant.

What this workflow does

• Starts manually and sets your QuickBooks Online company ID, API base URL, and an export date range (last month by default).
• Pulls the QuickBooks Online Transaction List report for Bank accounts and converts it into bank_ledger.csv.
• Queries QuickBooks Online for multiple bank-related transaction entity types within the date range, normalizes the results, and prepares transaction IDs to match attachments.
• Retrieves QuickBooks Online Attachable records, expands them to one row per linked transaction, filters for real downloadable files, and downloads attachments.
• Fetches invoices in the date range, keeps invoices that are sent or not open, exports invoices.csv, and downloads a PDF for each matching invoice.
• Fetches payments received and expenses (purchases) in the date range and exports them to payments_received.csv and expenses.csv.
• Creates attachments_index.csv mapping attachments to their linked transactions, then bundles all CSVs, PDFs, and attachment files into one ZIP archive.

Technical details

• Designed for n8n automation workflows using nodes such as set, merge, filter, split out, aggregate, and quickbooks.
• Uses QuickBooks Online OAuth2 (Intuit developer app) credentials with the QuickBooks nodes.
• Exports structured CSV files (bank_ledger.csv, invoices.csv, payments_received.csv, expenses.csv, attachments_index.csv), downloads invoice PDFs, downloads attachable files, and outputs a single ZIP for download.
