What this workflow does

Built for n8n automation, the workflow performs these steps:

• Daily scheduled run: Executes every day at the configured hour using a schedule trigger.
• Query GDELT for your theme: Builds a GDELT query using your theme, sector, and watchlist tickers, then requests a 1-day news timeline from the GDELT Doc API.
• Compute spike vs baseline: Calculates the latest news-volume value, derives a 7-day baseline from prior timeline points, and flags a spike when it exceeds the 50% threshold.
• Classify the event: Assigns severity (LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH) and categorizes the event based on theme keywords.
• Generate AI analysis with Gemini: Sends event metrics to Google Gemini to produce a JSON output with event summary, narrative, sector impact, ticker-by-ticker impacts, market implication, and disclaimer.
• Log and notify: Appends metrics + Gemini analysis to Google Sheets for historical tracking, then posts a formatted Slack message to the selected channel.
