This n8n workflow pulls journal entries from Money Forward Accounting for a selected office and year, classifies them into five Japanese tax-prep report types, and creates (or updates) 5 XLSX files in Google Drive using a Google Sheets template—so you can produce tax-ready spreadsheets faster and more consistently.

What this workflow does

• Authenticates to Money Forward: Starts manually, exchanges your Money Forward API credentials for an access token, verifies the tenant, and lists accessible offices.
• Calculates the relevant accounting periods that overlap your configured calendar year, then fetches Money Forward journal entries across those periods (including pagination).
• Retrieves the account master, selects fixed-asset accounts, and merges master data with the retrieved journal entries.
• Classifies lines into five report categories and formats rows for each report:
  • Withholding tax
  • Rent
  • Fees ≥ JPY 3,000
  • Consumables ≥ JPY 50,000
  • Fixed assets
• Exports to Google Drive: Determines a destination folder name based on the Money Forward office, creates/locates the client and year subfolders, then for each report:
  • Copies the Google Sheets template
  • Appends the report rows
  • Exports the sheet as XLSX
  • Uploads or overwrites the matching XLSX in Google Drive
  • Deletes the temporary spreadsheet copy
