Generate Veo 3.1 Videos or Nano Banana Pro Images in n8n—powered by Google Flow
This n8n workflow takes a prompt from an n8n Form and uses useapi.net Google Flow to generate either Nano Banana Pro images or Veo 3.1 videos. When generation completes, it downloads the results and returns them as downloadable binary MP4/image files for your next automation steps.
What this workflow does
- Receives form inputs: collects prompt, output type (Image or Video), and orientation.
- Maps inputs to Google Flow settings: sets the workflow’s Google Flow model names, aspect ratio/orientation, and the number of outputs.
- Image generation path: if “Image” is selected, it calls the useapi.net Google Flow Images endpoint to generate one or more images.
- Downloads image outputs: it retrieves images from a signed URL or inline base64 and outputs each image as binary data.
- Video generation path: if “Video” is selected, it starts an asynchronous job via the useapi.net Google Flow Videos endpoint.
- Polls until complete: it waits and repeatedly polls job status until the video generation succeeds or fails.
- Downloads video outputs: on completion, it downloads signed video URLs and outputs MP4 binaries.
Use cases
- Build an AI media request pipeline where users submit prompts and receive generated assets automatically.
- Create a content ops workflow that generates thumbnails (Nano Banana Pro images) and short clips (Veo 3.1 videos) for campaigns.
- Automate creative iteration by storing the generated binaries in your downstream n8n steps (e.g., storage/distribution systems).
Technical details
- Integrations: useapi.net Google Flow API (Images + Videos endpoints, plus job status polling).
-
Auth: uses an n8n HTTP Header Auth credential (e.g.,
Authorization: Bearer <API token>). -
n8n nodes used:
if,set, code, wait, switch, and a sticky note. - Requirements: images work on any Google AI plan; videos require a paid plan and consume Flow credits.
