Track competitor hotel rates automatically—daily, structured, and sent to Telegram
This Hotel Competitor Rate Scraper n8n Workflow uses MrScraper plus Google Gemini to scrape Booking.com and tiket.com competitor room rates, store the history in Google Sheets, generate an Indonesian market summary, and deliver a combined watchlist + area scan report via Telegram.
What this workflow does
- Runs daily at 15:00 (Asia/Jakarta) and starts two scans: a competitor watchlist scan and a Booking.com area search scan.
- Reads competitor listings from Google Sheets and builds dated detail-page URLs for the next two weekends.
- Scrapes rates with MrScraper for Booking.com (structured detail-page scraping) and extracts room types/prices from tiket.com using MrScraper + Google Gemini (via tiket.com markdown).
- Normalizes and compares new rates against existing history to detect confirmed price-level changes.
- Appends observations to Rate_History and upserts the latest values into Current_Status.
- Generates a report including platform health, market cheapest prices per listing and date, sold-out detection, cross-platform comparisons, and multi-day price trends.
- Scrapes the top listings from a configured Booking.com search results page, extracts each listing’s cheapest rate, and writes results to Area_Scan.
- Uses Google Gemini to produce a Telegram-friendly Indonesian summary, with a fallback deterministic summary if Gemini fails.
Use cases
- Hotel operators and revenue managers monitoring competitor pricing changes across Booking.com and tiket.com.
- Automation engineers validating rate monitoring logic with structured history and trend reporting in Google Sheets.
- SaaS operators building market insights dashboards and alerting flows for hospitality clients.
