Inspect Agentel MCP Skill Evidence & Metering in n8n—before you adopt

This manual n8n workflow lets developers inspect one public Agentel Skill while verifying access, allowances, and metering behavior. It performs a safe, read-only evidence check—no model or autonomous Agent is added.

What this workflow does

• Runs manually only: start the inactive workflow yourself (no schedule, no autonomous Agent added).
• Selects the target Skill: set skill_id in “Choose Skill” to the public Agentel Skill reference you want to inspect.
• Preflight with get_connection: calls get_connection to verify identity, restricted Reader state, expected pricing, and available daily/monthly allowance before any detail attempt.
• Permits at most one detail attempt: if preflight passes, it proceeds; otherwise it follows the “Read not started” path.
• Reads evidence via get_network_item: calls get_network_item once and displays registered evidence with before/after allowance snapshots. Reading does not install, execute, or authorize the Skill.
• Verifies allowance changes: calls get_connection again and compares snapshots. The workflow notes that shared balance changes alone do not prove exclusive charge attribution.
• Never blindly retries: if the preflight refuses the read (or metering is unknown), it does not automatically replay failed/unknown attempts.

Technical details

• Requires a restricted Agentel INFO_READ Reader (never an owner or full runtime key) stored in a private n8n Bearer Auth credential.
• Uses three MCP Client nodes pointing to https://agentel.tech/mcp with the same credential.
• Node/tooling includes manual trigger, if, code, and sticky note, plus n8nn8n-nodes-langchainmcp client.
