Turn LinkedIn Ad Library results into Google Sheets rows automatically (with n8n + Apify)
Scrape LinkedIn Ad Library ads, generate hooks and transcripts, and append one spreadsheet-ready row per ad directly into Google Sheets—using an n8n workflow powered by Apify.
What this workflow does
This n8n automation workflow starts when you manually run it. It then:
- Sends your configured LinkedIn Ad Library URL and maximum ad count to an Apify actor to start a LinkedIn Ad Library scrape.
- Polls the Apify run status until it finishes and retrieves the run’s dataset ID.
- Calls a second Apify actor to transcribe video ads (and read on-image copy where available) using the dataset ID, returning transcript items.
- Reshapes and sorts the results into one row per ad, including fields like headline, format, a 3-second hook, transcript, language, duration, and detail_url.
- Appends the rows to your chosen Google Sheets spreadsheet and sheet.
Use cases
- B2B ad research: collect competitors’ LinkedIn ad creatives into Google Sheets for structured analysis.
- Creative iteration: use the generated 3-second hook and transcripts to inform new messaging.
- Monthly monitoring: run on a schedule (e.g., monthly) to track changes over time.
- Multi-advertiser sweeps: loop through a list of advertiser/search URLs and keep a detail_url to jump back to the original ad.
Technical details
- Integrations: Apify (HTTP requests with Authorization: Bearer <token>) and Google Sheets.
- n8n nodes used: if, set, code, sticky note, HTTP Request, Google Sheets.
- Requirements: an Apify account and a Google account.
- Setup highlights: add your Apify API token as HTTP header auth, connect Google Sheets, and update Config with the LinkedIn Ad Library URL and max ads.
Best for: n8n users, automation engineers, and SaaS operators who want LinkedIn Ad Library scraping + transcript enrichment feeding directly into Google Sheets.
