Automatically log newly funded startups from Form D into Google Sheets—every day.

This n8n workflow runs the SureSignal SEC Form D Apify actor on a daily schedule and appends only newly funded companies to your Google Sheets sheet—so you always have a fresh list of recent startup funding leads.

What this workflow does

  • Runs daily at 7:00 using an n8n Schedule Trigger.
  • Calls the Apify API for the actor SureSignal/sec-form-d-funding-leads (up to 200 new filings from the last two days, above the minimum amount sold threshold).
  • Extracts and normalizes key fields from the returned filings, including:
    • Company name
    • Amount sold
    • Industry
    • State
    • Website
    • Filed date
    • Filing URL
  • Appends the normalized rows into a specified Google Sheets worksheet.

Use cases

  • Build and maintain a funding lead pipeline for sales, partnerships, or business development teams.
  • Keep an up-to-date investment research tracker by automatically collecting recently filed SEC Form D funding results.
  • Generate a daily spreadsheet view of newly funded startups for CRM import or manual outreach.

Technical details

  • n8n nodes: Schedule Trigger, HTTP Request, Google Sheets, Set, and Sticky Note.
  • Integrations: Requires an Apify account and Apify API token, plus Google Sheets credentials.
  • Configuration: Set your Apify token (replace YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN in the Authorization header) and paste your target spreadsheet URL (replace PASTE_YOUR_SHEET_URL). Ensure your sheet columns match the appended fields (e.g., Company, Amount sold, Industry, State, Website, Filed, Filing).
