This n8n workflow monitors a competitor (or any) website daily, compares what’s there now vs. what it was before, and uses OpenAI to decide whether the change is worth notifying you—then sends you an email notification.

What this workflow does

• Starts with your “espionage assignment”: Click Test workflow in the editor. A new browser tab opens where you provide the website URL and a concise, specific prompt describing what you want to detect.
• Extracts URL + optimized instructions: The flow uses OpenAI structured outputs to generate and parse the relevant website URL and a prompt optimized for the task (parsed further in a Code node).
• Runs in an endless daily loop:
  • Initial scrape
  • 1 day delay
  • Second scrape
  • AI agent decision: OpenAI evaluates the change and determines whether to send you an email notification
  • Returns to the start for the next day
• Designed for precise instructions: You’re prompted to be concise and specific when instructing AI (so alerts trigger only when you actually care about the change).
