Generate a ~500-word SEO article automatically—research with Wikipedia, write with Gemini, log to Google Sheets, and deliver via Gmail
This n8n workflow turns an article request into a finished, SEO-edited post. It collects your topic, audience, and SEO keyword via an n8n form, uses Google Gemini with Wikipedia research, then drafts and optimizes the article (~500 words). Finally, it logs results to Google Sheets and emails the completed article through Gmail.
What this workflow does
- Receives the request through an n8n form that captures: recipient email, topic, audience, and the SEO keyword.
- Researches with Gemini + Wikipedia using a Gemini agent configured with the Wikipedia tool to produce structured notes (including key points, numbers, and misconceptions).
- Drafts the article with Gemini in the target audience’s style, using only the research notes to produce a ~500-word article.
- SEO-edit and optimize the draft with Gemini by naturally incorporating the provided keyword and generating an SEO title and meta description.
- Extracts structured outputs (article body, title, meta description, and requester email) from the editor output.
- Logs to Google Sheets by appending the article details to a chosen spreadsheet/tab (e.g., an “Articles” tab).
- Sends via Gmail the completed article to the requester’s email.
Use cases
- Automation engineers who need an end-to-end “article request → delivery” pipeline in n8n.
- SaaS operators collecting marketing topics from users and automatically emailing finished SEO drafts.
- Teams managing recurring content production without manual research, writing, and spreadsheet tracking.
Technical details
- Google Gemini (PaLM) API via n8nn8n-nodes-langchainagent with the Wikipedia tool for research.
- Form trigger to capture recipient email, topic, audience, and SEO keyword.
- Google Sheets OAuth2 to append final article fields (body, title, meta description).
- Gmail OAuth2 to email the completed article to the requester.
- Additional code step(s) to map/extract fields for Google Sheets and email delivery.
SEO-ready output: the workflow uses your provided keyword to generate an SEO title and meta description alongside the article body.
