This n8n workflow turns incoming customer messages into fast, accurate support replies using an OpenAI chat agent—while blocking prompt injection and protecting sensitive data with SoterAI secure routing. It’s built to reduce risk and avoid wasted LLM compute costs, making it ideal for SaaS operators and automation engineers.

What this workflow does

• Receives customer input from an interactive chat trigger, a POST webhook, or a manual test run.
• Normalizes payloads into a consistent structure (message text, session ID, email, and channel metadata).
• Enforces zero-trust security with SoterAI by sending the message to SoterAI Input Threat Shield to allow only support-related topics and block/route prompt-injection, sensitive-data, or off-policy content.
• Generates support replies safely using an OpenAI chat model–backed agent with conversation memory, plus verified live tools for order lookup and an calculator.
• Redacts sensitive data by scanning the AI reply with SoterAI Output Guardrail (DLP) before delivery.
• Responds with security-aware outcomes: returns the sanitized reply and security metadata; if a threat is flagged, sends an incident payload to a configurable HTTP endpoint and returns a rejection message.
