n8n + Apify: Track Google Review Scores & Compare to Competitors

Track your Google review performance—and see how you stack up week to week

This n8n workflow fetches Google local pack results using Apify, then compares each competitor’s star rating and review count to your own listing. Every Monday, it generates a per-business scoreboard (including ranks and gaps) and appends it to Google Sheets for ongoing monitoring.

What this workflow does

• Runs weekly: Scheduled to execute every Monday morning.
• Builds a local search query: Uses your business name plus a configurable search term, location, and Google domain/country settings.
• Fetches Google Local Pack data via Apify: Calls the Apify actor johnvc~google-local-api to retrieve local pack results for the query.
• Skips empty results: If the search returns no local results, the workflow avoids writing empty data.
• Creates a business-by-business scoreboard: Splits the local pack into one item per business and calculates rank, rating, review count, and whether the result matches your business.
• Compares competitors vs you: When your own listing is present in the results, it computes “Reviews vs you” and “Rating vs you” for each competitor.
• Appends to Google Sheets: Writes weekly rows to the selected spreadsheet document and sheet tab.
