Stop churn before it happens—automatically

This n8n workflow runs every morning to pull your last 30 days of account usage, calculate a health score, and use GPT-4o to classify churn risk. Then it triggers the right retention action across Slack, Gmail, HubSpot, and logs results to Google Sheets.

What this workflow does

  • Runs daily at 7am on a schedule.
  • Pulls 30-day usage metrics from your product API endpoint (update the HTTP request URL and required auth headers).
  • Computes a 0–100 health score per account using usage and support signals.
  • Sends account context to OpenAI (GPT-4o) to:
    • classify churn risk as high / medium / low
    • recommend one retention play for that account
  • Routes actions by risk level:
    • High-risk → alerts your team in Slack (e.g., #customer-success)
    • Medium-risk → sends a nurture email via Gmail
    • Low-risk → updates CRM activity in HubSpot
  • Appends tracking data (signals, score, chosen action) to a Google Sheets tab named “Churn Signals”.

Use cases

  • Customer Success teams want daily churn risk alerts to prioritize outreach.
  • SaaS operators need an automated retention playbook tied to real usage signals.
  • Automation engineers want a Slack + Gmail + HubSpot workflow with reporting for churn attribution.
