This n8n workflow monitors new emails in Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP, uses OpenAI (gpt-4.1-mini) to classify urgency, and sends a WhatsApp alert via Nilyo only when a message likely needs a reply today. No noise—just urgent inbox triage.

What this workflow does

• Listens for new email events from Nilyo using an email.new trigger connected to your Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP mailbox.
• Prepares the WhatsApp alert recipient by using the workflow setting alert_recipient to match a contact in Nilyo.
• Calls OpenAI GPT with the email sender, subject, snippet, and a cleaned body excerpt, requesting a strict JSON response containing:
  • urgent (urgent or not)
  • reason (short explanation)
• Stops automatically if the model does not mark the email as urgent.
• Sends an urgent-only WhatsApp message through Nilyo including the subject, sender, and the model’s reason.
