This n8n workflow runs every week to search the European Commission EU Funding Search API for relevant calls, uses OpenAI to score how well each grant matches your organisation, and sends high-scoring results to Microsoft Teams via an incoming webhook.

What this workflow does

• Runs weekly: scheduled for every Monday at 08:30.
• Queries EU funding calls: sends a POST request to the European Commission Search API (SEDIA) using your configured keyword query and parameters.
• Processes results individually: splits the API response into grant items and loops through each one.
• Filters out outdated opportunities: excludes grants that are past their deadline and removes items ingested more than 7 days ago.
• Scores relevance with OpenAI: for each remaining grant, OpenAI generates a relevance score, a short justification, and the programme/type of action, based on your organisation name and mission provided in the prompt.
• Alerts via Microsoft Teams: posts an Adaptive Card to Microsoft Teams for grants with a relevance score above 7, then continues processing the next result.
