This n8n workflow checks a configured Forex exchange rate on a schedule, detects when it moves beyond your chosen threshold, and then asks Claude (Anthropic) for a short factual summary—posting the result directly to your Slack Incoming Webhook.

What this workflow does

• Fetches live reference rates: On a schedule, it pulls the current exchange rate for your currency pair from the Frankfurter API (ECB reference rates; no API key required).
• Calculates percent change: It compares the newly fetched rate to the last checked rate, stored via n8n workflow static data.
• Triggers on your threshold: If the percent move crosses your configured threshold (or it’s the first run), it proceeds to generate commentary.
• Creates a factual note with guardrails: It calls Claude with explicit instructions to write a short, factual note and avoid predictions or investment advice.
• Posts to Slack and verifies delivery: It sends the message to Slack using an Incoming Webhook and verifies delivery by checking the actual response body.
