Automatically remove image backgrounds from your Google Drive—then log every result in Google Sheets

The n8n Google Drive Background Removal + Sheets Logs (LassoCut) workflow watches a Google Drive folder for new images, sends them to LassoCut to remove backgrounds, uploads the cut-outs back to Drive, and records processing details (including failures and credits used) in Google Sheets.

What this workflow does

• Monitors for new uploads and triggers every minute when a new file is created in your specified Google Drive input folder (or you can run it manually to process existing files).
• Filters eligible images to JPEG, PNG, and WebP files that are 22 MB or smaller.
• Processes images one at a time: downloads each image from Google Drive and submits it to LassoCut for background removal.
• Saves outputs to Google Drive: uploads each cut-out image to an output folder using a “-cutout” filename suffix, then moves the original to a done folder.
• Handles errors safely: if downloading, background removal, or uploading fails, the workflow moves the original file to a failed folder and captures error details.
• Logs to Google Sheets: appends one row per image with links, dimensions, detected type, credits charged, and a processed/failed status.
• Creates a run summary counting processed vs. failed images and totaling credits used.
