n8n Google SERP Scraper: Rankings to Google Sheets

Track Google rankings from Google Sheets—automatically parse SERP results back into your spreadsheet

This n8n workflow manually runs a Google SERP scraper that takes your keywords from Google Sheets, fetches the Google search results pages using ScrapeUnblocker, extracts the top organic results (rank, title, URL, snippets, and dates), and writes the results back into Google Sheets.

What this workflow does

• Manually triggered: Starts when you run a Manual Trigger in n8n.
• Reads keywords from Google Sheets: Pulls a list from a specified worksheet/tab and expects a Keyword input column.
• Builds Google SERP URLs: Processes keywords in batches and constructs a Google search URL using num=10 for each keyword.
• Fetches SERPs via ScrapeUnblocker: Downloads the HTML for each Google results page from https://www.google.com/search.
• Parses organic results: Extracts organic rank, title, URL, meta description snippet, an optional published date, and includes a scrape date.
• Updates Google Sheets: Writes the extracted SERP data back to your target worksheet and continues until all keywords are processed.

Technical details

• Integrations/Nodes: Google Sheets, Manual Trigger, batch splitting, n8n-nodes-scrapeunblockerscrape unblocker, and code parsing logic.
• Setup requirements: Configure Google Sheets credentials, spreadsheet ID, worksheet/tab, and the input column name (Keyword).
• ScrapeUnblocker: Add ScrapeUnblocker credentials and ensure access to https://www.google.com/search from your environment.
• Sheet columns: At minimum Keyword, Rank, Title, Meta Description, and Date (optionally URL).
