Track Google Shopping prices automatically—every week

This n8n workflow searches Google Shopping for your selected products every Monday morning, summarizes credible weekly pricing metrics, and appends the results to Google Sheets—so you can build a reliable price history without manual checking.

What this workflow does

  • Runs on a schedule: the workflow is set to execute every Monday morning.
  • Configures product search queries: it defines a list of product queries, along with the target country and language for Google Shopping.
  • Searches products individually: it splits the product list so each item is searched as its own query.
  • Fetches offers and prices via Apify: it uses Apify’s Google Shopping actor to retrieve offers and pricing data for each product.
  • Skips empty results: if Google Shopping returns no offers for a product, that product is skipped.
  • Builds a weekly summary per product: it aggregates remaining offers into one row per product, trimming very low-price outliers and calculating metrics such as lowest price, median price, highest price, cheapest seller, and best discount.
  • Appends to Google Sheets: each weekly summary row is written to a chosen spreadsheet document and sheet tab.

Use cases

  • SaaS operators monitoring competitor pricing trends across consistent Google Shopping searches.
  • Automation engineers building a repeatable price-tracking pipeline with n8n + Google Sheets.
  • Retail analysts maintaining weekly price history for reporting, benchmarking, or decision support.

Technical details

  • Scheduler: runs every Monday morning.
  • Nodes/logic used: set, code, filter, split out, and Google Sheets append step (with supporting steps like a sticky note).
  • Apify integration: requires an Apify API token added as an n8n credential to run the Google Shopping actor.

Setup summary: add your Apify credential in n8n, connect Google Sheets, select your spreadsheet and tab, and replace the example product queries plus country/language values for your market.
