Get your newsletter growth numbers in Slack or Telegram every Monday
This n8n workflow automatically pulls your newsletter subscriber stats from Kit (ConvertKit) and posts a concise weekly growth report to Slack and/or Telegram—so you always know new subscribers, cancellations, net growth, and your current list total at the start of the week.
What this workflow does
- Runs on a weekly schedule: Every Monday at 08:00 (you can change the day/hour via the Schedule Trigger).
- Fetches growth stats from your email platform: The workflow reads subscriber statistics from Kit (ConvertKit) using the v4 growth_stats endpoint over plain HTTP—no OAuth and no community nodes.
- Formats a 5-line weekly report: new subscribers, cancellations, net growth for the week, and your current list total.
- Posts to your chosen channel: The Slack and Telegram posting nodes are independent—delete the one you don’t use.
- Supports one-URL swaps: Use beehiiv, Mailchimp, or Buttondown by swapping to a single URL (per the workflow’s design).
Use cases
- SaaS operators who want weekly list health updates without logging into their email tool.
- Automation engineers building a consistent KPI reporting loop for marketing teams.
- Newsletter publishers tracking audience growth and tying outcomes back to ad spend and creatives.
Technical details
- Schedule Trigger: runs weekly (default Monday at 08:00).
- HTTP Request: calls Kit/ConvertKit v4 growth_stats over plain HTTP.
- Credential: create a header auth credential named X-Kit-Api-Key using your Kit API key.
- Slack integration: via incoming webhook URL in the “Post Report to Slack” step.
- Telegram integration: via bot token (in the Post Report to Telegram URL) and chat_id.
- Nodes used: code, sticky note, http request, schedule trigger.
