n8n Lead Scoring & Auto Reply: OpenRouter + Gmail + Sheets

Turn every website lead into a scored priority and an instant email reply—automatically

This n8n workflow receives new website enquiries via webhook, uses OpenRouter to score each lead (hot/warm/cold) and draft a concise reply, then sends the message through Gmail and records everything in Google Sheets—including errors and “Reply Sent” status.

What this workflow does

• Receives lead submissions via a POST webhook.
• Normalizes and enriches data (name, email, phone, message), adds a timestamp, and applies business-specific settings.
• Uses OpenRouter for lead scoring to classify the enquiry as hot/warm/cold, summarize the need, and generate a short, ready-to-send email reply.
• Parses and validates OpenRouter output, falling back to safe defaults if JSON parsing fails.
• Sends the reply via Gmail when an email address is present, then appends lead details + score + “Reply Sent” to the Google Sheets “Leads” tab.
• If no email is supplied, it skips sending and still appends the lead with an “email not supplied” status to the “Leads” tab.
• Escalates hot leads by emailing the business owner via Gmail with the lead details.
• Error handling: if any step fails, logs to the Google Sheets “Errors” tab and alerts the owner by email.
