Render LinkedIn carousel slides with Google Gemini—optionally save previews to Google Drive

This n8n sub-workflow generates a single LinkedIn carousel slide image using Google Gemini, uploads it to LinkedIn via the Images API, and returns only the resulting image URN (plus slide metadata) to your parent workflow.

What this workflow does

• Receives slide configuration from a parent workflow execution (including the image prompt, slide index, LinkedIn owner URN, and rendering options like aspect ratio and image size).
• Validates required inputs and stops with a clear error if any required fields are missing.
• Calls the Google Gemini image generation API to render the slide based on your prompt and the specified output settings.
• Extracts and converts the generated image into binary for upload, and retries up to three times if no usable image is returned or if the image exceeds LinkedIn’s size limit.
• Optionally uploads a preview to Google Drive to provide a shareable preview URL.
• Uploads the image to LinkedIn using the LinkedIn Images API and returns only: the LinkedIn image URN, slide index, alt text, and the optional Drive preview URL.
