Turn loan-tracker updates into real-time Slack alerts, applicant emails, and Gemini-written digests

This n8n workflow monitors your Google Sheets loan application tracker, detects status changes and SLA breaches, notifies your team in Slack, escalates high-value loans via Gmail, and uses Google Gemini to generate applicant and management email updates.

What this workflow does

• Runs every 30 minutes and reads your “Application Tracker” Google Sheet.
• Selects applications whose current status changed since the last notification, while flagging:
  • SLA breaches when status is under_review for more than 3 days.
  • High-value loans when amount is over 2,000,000.
• If an SLA alert is due, it posts to Slack and updates the tracker row timestamp.
• It then escalates high-value applications to a manager using Gmail, alongside remaining changed applications.
• For each changed application, it uses Google Gemini to generate a short, status-specific email body and sends it to the applicant via Gmail.
• If an applicant email fails, the workflow waits 5 minutes and retries up to three times; after that, it appends the failure details to the “Log Failed Email to Sheet” tab.
• After a successful applicant email, it updates the row in Google Sheets (including last_notified_status and last_updated), then moves to the next application.
• Runs at 6 PM every weekday to read all rows, aggregate pipeline counts and SLA breaches, draft a Gemini management digest, and email it to the manager via Gmail.
