This n8n NDA Automation workflow watches your Google Drive “Incoming” folder, extracts NDA text, uses OpenAI (GPT-4o) to structure and assess clauses against your Google Sheets playbook, then either auto-approves the document or escalates to legal review with email and audit logging.

What this workflow does

• Detects new NDA files when a file is created in a specified Google Drive “Incoming” folder.
• Validates file type (supported: PDF or DOCX), generates an NDA ID, and only proceeds with supported documents.
• Moves files for processing into a “Processing” folder, re-downloads the moved file, and extracts the document text.
• If extraction yields sufficient text, GPT-4o parses the NDA into structured JSON clauses plus document metadata.
• Loads the NDA review playbook from Google Sheets, then sends both the playbook and extracted clauses to OpenAI for a risk assessment and recommendation.
• Applies deterministic approval rules to decide between AUTO_APPROVED and LEGAL_REVIEW using factors such as risk level, risk score, confidence, deviations, and blocking issues.
• Routes the document to either “Approved” or “Legal Review” in Google Drive, appends an audit entry to Google Sheets, and emails the legal team when review is required.
