This n8n procurement workflow receives a procurement goal via webhook, uses OpenAI to generate a structured procurement plan and perform supplier risk analysis, routes to the right sub-workflows, and requests human approval in Slack before returning an audited decision to the caller.

What this workflow does

• Receives and validates input: Accepts a secured POST request on a webhook endpoint with a procurement goal, priority, requester, and scope.
• Generates a unique ID & plan: Creates a unique procurement request ID, then uses OpenAI to produce a structured procurement plan that is parsed and validated.
• Builds normalized supplier records: Loads supplier, ERP spend, contract, and supplier-risk datasets (currently from mock data) and normalizes them into one combined supplier record per supplier.
• Runs AI risk analysis per supplier: Sends each supplier record to OpenAI for a JSON risk analysis, then combines the AI output with the normalized dataset.
• Applies deterministic routing rules: Based on the combined results, it decides whether to run Supplier Risk Assessment, Contract Review, or Supplier Monitoring sub-workflows.
• Aggregates findings & recommends next actions: Collects sub-workflow results and uses OpenAI to generate structured findings and recommended actions.
• Requests approval in Slack: Posts an approval request to Slack, waits for an approval or rejection, and parses the response.
• Audited outcome back to the webhook caller: If approved, routes actions to the relevant sub-workflow(s), verifies execution, writes an audit log, and responds with final status and details.
