This n8n RSS Digest Workflow reads multiple RSS feeds, ranks recent articles using weighted keywords, and generates an HTML content-planning digest plus two CSV exports—optionally emailing the digest to you daily (or on demand).

What this workflow does

• Runs on a schedule or manually: Executes daily at 09:00 UTC or can be started manually for testing.
• Loads and validates digest settings: Pulls RSS feed URLs, weighted keywords, excluded phrases, lookback window, and output limits, then checks configuration validity.
• Fetches, normalizes, and diagnoses: Retrieves recent items from each RSS feed, normalizes article fields, and captures feed errors as diagnostics.
• Filters, scores, and deduplicates: Keeps only safe links and publish-date-valid items, excludes unwanted phrases, scores keyword matches, deduplicates by canonicalized URL, and enforces per-source and overall limits.
• Enriches editorial planning prompts: Adds structured prompts (explainer, checklist, and discussion angles) for each selected article.
• Outputs ready-to-use files: Renders an HTML digest with rankings and source health, exports a ranked shortlist CSV, and a full decision ledger CSV.
• Optional email delivery: Sends the HTML digest via email when enabled.

Technical details

• For email: set an SMTP credential, then enable sendEmail=true with valid fromEmail and toEmail values.
