This n8n workflow pulls articles from RSS feeds and new Gmail newsletter emails, removes duplicates using Google Sheets, evaluates relevance with OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini), generates structured summaries, logs everything to a “Second Brain” Google Sheet, and sends a Telegram digest. If anything fails, you’ll get alerts in Slack and Telegram.

What this workflow does

• Runs on a schedule and on new emails: executes daily to fetch configured RSS items, and also triggers when a new Gmail message matching your newsletters filter arrives.
• Normalizes content: extracts a consistent set of fields from each RSS item or email newsletter—title, plain-text content, source, link, and date.
• Filters low-quality/duplicate items: skips items with too little content, and removes items whose links already exist in your Second Brain Google Sheets document.
• Checks relevance with OpenAI: sends the candidate items to gpt-4o-mini to decide whether each one is worth saving.
• Summarizes and tags: for relevant items only, runs gpt-4o-mini again to generate a structured JSON summary, key points, and topic tags.
• Saves + notifies: appends the parsed summary data to the “Second Brain” Google Sheet and sends a formatted message to Telegram with the summary and link.
• Fail-safe alerts: on workflow execution errors, posts an alert to Slack and Telegram.
